Countdown to Midnight in Downtown Tryon!
As the clock ticks toward the stroke of midnight, historic Tryon comes alive with anticipation. Families gather, their faces illuminated by the warm glow of streetlights and the twinkle of stars. Laughter and chatter fill the air, creating a sense of togetherness that transcends time.
As the seconds dwindle, eyes turn upward, and hearts beat in unison. 10… 9… 8…

Small Business Saturday is a great way to kick-off the holiday season in Downtown Tryon. Find Lourdes downtown with a receipt dated 11/30 from a downtown business to receive a Small Business Saturday tote.
Borderline Therapy will be rocking out on the plaza from 2:30-5:30! Grab a bite, after intense shopping & come enjoy the music on the plaza.
13th Annual Tryon Beerfest

Tryon Halloween Stroll
Local shops and boutiques spill their secrets. Knock on creaky doors, and you’ll be greeted by friendly witches and wizards. They offer treats but beware: some may ask for a riddle or a spooky tale in return.

Warm up your singing pipes for Karaoke on the Plaza during Fourth Friday. We are going to have karaoke on the plaza as a fundraiser for hurricane Helene relief that will be directed to repairing Harmon Field. $5 a song, so get ready to show us what you’ve got!

TDDA Annual Meeting
Tryon Downtown Development Association (TDDA) will hold its Annual Meeting on Monday, October 21st at the Fitzgerald Event Center (69 Pacolet, Tryon). The meeting will begin at 6 PM, with time for networking, light refreshments and beverages.
The meeting will include an update on TDDA projects & events, the introduction of new TDDA officers, and awards for economic development, promotion, and design.
Guest speakers will host a panel discussion about downtown development in Tryon and what the vision is from a few developers. Other panel members will represent the viewpoint of Historic Preservationist, Realtors and Business owners.
The Annual Meeting is open to all Tryon businesses and residents interested in supporting TDDA. The mission of TDDA is to preserve and enhance the community of Tryon through a downtown revitalization program that focuses on economic vitality, excellent urban design, and historic preservation.
There will also be an opportunity to join or renew membership with TDDA.

Their ribbon cutting ceremonies will be on Fourth Friday, June 28th at 5pm. Come up to Pacolet St to see both of their spaces & wish them well on this journey.

From the TCC..... The Tryon County Club is a treasure in our midst. It has a challenging Donald Ross golf course that plays 9 or 18 holes, making use of an alternate green and is open all year. There is a Men's Golf Association that plays on Mondays as well as a Women's Golf Association that plays Tuesday Mornings. The Aquatics membership includes use of the pool as well as 6 rounds of golf per year and there is also a non resident membership. The clubhouse, a charming log cabin with fireplace provides a warm setting for our many social events. Lessons are available from our golf professional Gerald Weathers for beginners as well as seasoned players .

10am the Airstreams parade into town led by Fire trucks!
4-7pm Fourth Friday - Spend the evening with the Shops & Restaurants on Trade Street.
7pm Polk County Parks & Recreation will host a Community Campfire on McCown Street.
SATURDAY April 27th
2-4pm Some of the Airstreams will be open for a camper open house. Campers participating will be open.

April Fools Parade and Outhouse Races
The legendary event returns! The Parade will kickoff on Trade Street at noon. Outhouse races will follow immediately after the Parade. The Trashion show will take place at the Depot at 1:30pm. There will be face painting, cotton candy & kids activities at the Depot after the Trashion Show. There will also be music & performances on the Plaza from 1-4. Foothills Humane Society will be there with some adoptable dogs! Come out for a fun day of foolery!

St. Patrick's Day Parade
Parade kick-off will be at 2pm. Trade Street parade route from Rogers Park to New Market Road. Stay on Trade Street for a meal & some shopping with local merchants.
Guns ‘N Hoses Chili Cookoff
Come One, Come All, To the First Annual Guns ‘N Hoses Chili Cookoff! On February 23rd from 4p-7p come to the Depot in Downtown Tryon for a chili cookoff benefiting the Tryon Fire Alliance. Teams from the Tryon Fire Department and the Tryon Police Department have already signed up to bring their pot’s of chili. We need you, your family and your friends for a night of good food, good drink and fun all around!
This is a free event, but we encourage you to buy tickets to vote for your favorite chili. Each team will have a bucket, the most tickets in a team’s bucket wins! All proceeds go directly to the Tryon Fire Alliance, so lets fill those buckets.
Iron Key Brewery will be in town with some of their best beer for sale.
