One Minute Ambassador

One Minute Ambassador Customer Service Training Starts November 7

The World Equestrian Games in 2018 will provide us with an opportunity to showcase our area. The first impressions of those attending will play an important role in affecting attitudes about our communities. Let’s make them welcome and instill in them a  desire to return to Columbus, Landrum, Saluda and Tryon.

The ONE MINUTE AMBASSADOR program is sponsored by Our Carolina Foothills and Isothermal Community College, with financial support from Landrum, Tryon, Saluda, Columbus, and Polk County, along with additional support from SCORE and First Peak. The program is designed to help all of us create a welcoming environment so that those who visit and shop in the area desire to return and so that those who reside here chose to shop here rather than traveling out of the area.

This is a two-hour interactive course that gives employees, businesses and more about how to interact with our visitors and residents to make them more aware of what is available in the area and how we can generate positive and welcoming experiences to visitors and residents alike.

Classes are held at ICC-Polk Campus morning, afternoon, and evening starting November 7.  Register now for the desired class times for your employees, volunteers, and yourself for this fun filled course.

To register for a class or for questions, contact Beth Hartle at 828-395-4294 or Give name, telephone number, company, class date and time desired. Registration forms may also be picked up at ICC-Polk front desk. Cost for the class is $10 and can be paid at time of arrival. Make check payable to Isothermal Community College. Please arrive 15 minutes before class begins to complete registration and pay fee.

Remember FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE LASTING IMPRESSIONS and we want to be sure we are creating a positive impression at all times of our wonderful Carolina Foothills.
